What’s your definition of style?

My definition of style encompasses everything around us. What we wear, how we decorate our homes, the cars we choose to drive, the way we apply our makeup, the way we choose to do our hair….it’s all about our choice of style. I love to feel that I look stylish every day.

You inspire and empower many women with your own style, who are your fashion icons and inspirations?

I just love Audrey Hepburn, Rachel Zoe, Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Elle McPherson, Victoria Beckham & Olivia Palermo! These women are all so individual. I love their style and their confidence.

Why did you select this Micky In The Van outfit and what are your thoughts on the label?

My whole wardrobe is basically black, so I always go straight for the black clothing on a rack. When I saw this long dress jacket with the gorgeous sleeves and stunning fabric, I didn’t want to look at anything else. I just love it! It is so me! I can wear it open over an outfit or just as a dress. It can be worn throughout winter or summer. It is just so practical and versatile.

What are three key items of clothing/accessories/footwear that you believe are must haves?

For me throughout winter, my must-haves are  well cut black pair of skinny leg pants, black boots, black sleeveless long top with low cut neckline. With these 3 key pieces, I can pop anything over it all such as long or short jackets, cardigans or I can accessorize it all with great jewellery, gorgeous bags in any colour, cool hats & wonderful scarves.

What would be one essential piece of fashion advice that you’d like to pass on to the sisterhood?

Try not to look like you are trying too hard to look good and stay away from looking like mutton dressed as lamb. I would rather look understated and elegant than look over the top and a try-hard. I like to feel stylish and elegant whenever I leave my home.

What is a mantra/quote that you follow that has helped you with your success?

My mantra that I stand by is make the best you can with the Sh*# you are given! We all have one chance at living life to the max, so do it with grace and give everything you do all you have! Never give up and stay humble and proud!
